About the weirdo who runs this:
Name: Skunky (actually the full nickname would be "Skunky the Proboscis Monkey" but we'd better just leave it at Skunky before I get any more weirded out blinks and my nice little submit gets tossed without even a second glance. ^.^;;)
Age: 15...yeah...uh huh, I'm a kid.
AIM: umm...nonexistant...if it's absolutely nessecary I could get one, but as a warning, I do have rather odd internet hours which would make getting a hold of me a bit of a pain outside of email.
Email: numerous... for high priority: crazy_elf_rocker13@ringzone.every1.net, for low priority: sweet_jumpin_jillybeans@yahoo.com (high priority is checked daily while low priority is a bit more lax...high priority being brainstorm sessions or things which require immediate attention, and low priority being the more friendly sort of things like a sarcastic greeting or such.)
Personal Journal: obseletevulture on LJ, eaterofclosets on GJ...yes, incidentally, they're written differently. *amused look*
RP Experiance: none thus far but I write like mad. I already have a juvenile orion fanfic sort of thing that I've been working on privately since about October, plus two others in various states of dissarray that I may actually put up...somewhere...unfortunately I doubt I can show it off any time soon until I get the puncuation and a few grammatical errors resulting from the bad punctuation fixed. But then again, I've got to start RPJ-ing somewhere don't I??? And what else do I like so much as Juvenile Orion? Beleive me, It'll only be a switch of perspective for me, from third person to first.
Character Preference: ...Shiba or maybe Lafayel...odd ideas for the latter (be warned *shifty eyes*) Thus I'd much prefer to start with Shiba because as the 'polite sports star' sort of guy, I find him to be an immense challenge to get in the shoes of ...especially guessing at the massive size difference as far as shoes go....hmmm.
Character Journal: DUH. crimson_yang -_-
Character's Age: 18
Appearence: Yi-Xin Shiba towers above the majority of his classmates at over six feet in height. His crimson hair and amber eyes couldn't better hint at his firey temper, though it is often concealed by his typically polite manners. His face is angular with few softened edges, implying no room for rounded cheeks or any form of toleration towards such childishness, and his mouth naturally seems to turn downwards, further implying his self imposed stance on leaving no room for any sort of funny buisness when it gets in the way of a duty. However, despite his appearences, he can be soft-hearted, though he shows it in his own rather gruff fashion.
Due to his workout schedule and active role in sports, his build is powerful and well muscled. Despite his obvious brawn he isn't lacking in brains either, though his hot-headedness can sometimes lead him to push on ahead to back up a strong beleif, when he probably should have stopped to think through the options first. His strong culture ties to his Chinese/Ariyashiki heritage are often displayed in his chosen clothing outside of school. Ornate, No-Nonsense, Old Fashioned, Fuctional, and Relentlessly Disciplined. Thus is the appearence of Shiba-Senpai to the unenlightened underclassmen. Almost God-like in his demands for nothing better than a person's absolute best and full effort, and admired for putting the same, and stricter demands still, on himself.
Personality: despite his confidence in standing up for the underclassman, or shooting a three point shot with accuracy, Shiba is completely lost in any sort of communication with the opposite sex. His No-nonsense fashion of doing things while it may work out quite well with other males, he knows it isn't proper to tell a young woman to 'suck it in' or 'take it like a man' when they're in pain and weeping-and if he did so, He would likely be marked off as an 'insensitive jock'. Thus he is completely ill at ease at just the idea of saying hello to a girl in the hallway, lest he bring dishonor to his name by accidentally blundering somehow from his lack of understanding concerning women. He is unable to even talk to a girl without blushing or feeling that he will make a fool of himself. Often he's wrong, although he stutters often, he is still quite polite, but he often resents that his personality isn't more casual or cheeful like Itsuki's.
Shiba is very strict on himself. Oftentimes he will berate himself, he also has a noted tendancy to bang his head against things when he becomes frustrated with himself, which often alarms his friends(though Itsuki seems to think it's actually rather funny.) Shiba has very little sense of humor, so while he is occasionally the butt of a joke he fails to notice or understand, he is more often irritated by what he sees as 'laughing aside the problem'. Because of his veiw on this, he can be seen as being uptight or stressed when really he just doesn't feel that a joke would be appropriate for the situation-which in his mind, it never is.
History: A large buisness has neither the time, nor the patience to afford error, or waste of time. So no time could be wasted on childish meandering or indescisions, even at the earliest age. But young Yi-Xin Shiba couldn't jump from the womb in a buisness suit, and thus he seemed to do nothing but dissapoint his parents. "Yi-XIn is a sweet kid, he really is, but he has no Discipline! How can he ever expect to do anything in the world if he has no focus???" Poor Shiba overheard his tutor talking to his mother, and he never forgot it. From that day forward he ran on the strictest self discipline. No room was allowed for play, he had to work his hardest on his studies. And lo and behold, the Young Yi-Xin under the surprised but watchful eye of his tutor, began down the path to excellence.
He hit The age of Fourteen, the top student in every course in his class. Then one day, on the way home to begin work on a paper that would push him up in his school to the next class level, he noticed a group of boys laughing and joking and playing basketball. Shiba was intrigued. The boys asked him to join in. Due to routine minimal training of his Ariyashiki powers, Shiba had inadveryantly strengthened his body to the point where-even though he didn't know all of the rules of the game-he was good enough to quickly gain a reputation among the others. They told thier coach, soon, Shiba found himself on the basketball team, he slacked of on his studies as he grew more avid in his game play. His paper was forgotten. His mother was hysterical. He had shamed his family.
Disenhearted, Shiba ernestly took up his studies once more, but he couldn't leave the basketball team now... He continued in secret, fudging excuses to go to his games, while barely keeping up his now customary standard of excellence in his studies. One day he was caught. His mother was distraught. "You have thorwn away your life just to play a silly game! Yi-Xin you have shamed us!!" But Shiba was persistant, Playing his games well, bringing a new sort of honor to his team. He continued, Juggling his studies and his newfound love of sports with uneaqual standards of excellence in both (when he shows up to class that is...) Finally his mother gave him a grudging sort of tolerant respect. He persists in his sports to this day. Discipline toughened and Doggedly Determined. Juggling his Sports, Studies, Training, and his expected roles for the future with no comment as to stress or strain.
(((Note: I know I have a lot of Itsuki references. That is simply because Shiba and Itsuki are near perfect opposites of one another, so if I put Itsuki's response to something or his attitude on something, it draws Shiba further out due to contrast. Itsuki's the joker, Shiba's no-nonsense...that sort of thing....I didn't mean to poke at resident Itsuki or anything)))
